As the competition approaches, we now know the list of the participants. Since, the races will not only be this year’s European Championships, but also the 3rd World Cup round, we are expecting athletes from all around the world. Still, Europeans entered the biggest teams with Sweden leading with 27 people (including team officials).
Large teams will also come from Switzerland and Norway (23), Denmark and Finland (22) and the host country, Hungary (24).
We also have entries from outside Europe: Australia, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, and from as far away as New Zealand! Some countries only entered one athlete, namely the United States, the Netherlands, and Moldova.
In total 173 men and 131 women will race, supported by 56 Team Officials.
