Weekly Weather Forecast: From Heatwave to Rain.

This week brings a mix of hot and cooler weather. The first three days will be extremely hot, with temperatures soaring up to 37°C. Stay cool and hydrated during this heatwave.

As the week progresses, expect a drop in temperature and a slight chance of rain by the weekend. It’s a welcome relief after the early-week heat, so keep an umbrella handy!

Quick Tips:
- Stay hydrated.
- Wear light, breathable clothing.
- Keep an eye on daily forecasts for any changes.

Prepare for the heat, and enjoy the cool down later in the week!

To fully immerse yourself in the vibe of the competition and to follow the action up close, we recommend watching from the arena. Arena entry is free for spectators who register before August 14th on this website.

Counting down the days! Just 10 more until EOC 2024. Let the final preparations begin!

As the competition approaches, we now know the list of the participants. Since, the races will not only be this year's European Championships, but also the 3rd World Cup round, we are expecting athletes from all around the world. Still, Europeans entered the biggest teams with Sweden leading with 27 people (including team officials).

Large teams will also come from Switzerland and Norway (23), Denmark and Finland (22) and the host country, Hungary (24).

We also have entries from outside Europe: Australia, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, and from as far away as New Zealand! Some countries only entered one athlete, namely the United States, the Netherlands, and Moldova.

In total 173 men and 131 women will race, supported by 56 Team Officials.

The official EOC selection races are happening this weekend in Szárliget, Zuppa! A beautiful forest is waiting for the athletes, swipe to see some photos of the terrain!

Saturday will feature a middle distance race and on Sunday we'll have a challenging long distance. The weather forecast promises a sunny and hot weekend with highs of 34°C on Saturday and 36°C on Sunday, so make sure to stay hydrated.
