CEYOC, 61th Spring Spartacus Cup and 2nd official training camp

CEYOC and 61th Spring Spartacus Cup 05-07/04/2024

Central European Youth Orienteering Cup (CEYOC) is an opportunity for young talented athletes to gain experience and compete in an international standard race setup. The CEYOC is going to take place between the 5th and 7th of April this spring in Vérteskozma neighbouring the EOC 2024 terrains. This is the second time the event takes place in the Vértes hills after 2018.

The CEYOC has been established to give international orienteering competition experience for youth runners from Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. This means, that those who could not get into their country’s EYOC team still have their chance to run internationally, and create new friendships. Furthermore, this raises the standards of the competitions in Central Europe, as we share our knowledge in organising such events. This is a milestone for the EOC organisers too, as the course setters are the same for each CEYOC and EOC disciplines.

The CEYOC has the 61st Spring Spartacus Cup as its spectator race (with the same course setters) for those who want to try themselves after following the youth’s competition. As well as the 2nd official EOC training camp, “The Sprint Trial” is organised for elite orienteers before and after the weekend. The 2nd official training camp is going to be between the 4th and 9th of April, organised around the Spring Spartacus Cup. On Saturday and Sunday, no trainings are organised due to the competitios. On the other 4 days, 2 open trainings are going to be held daily on the official training terrains. Some courses will even be ready from the 1st of April so you will have the opportunity to do some orienteering before the official camp. This week is the perfect opportunity to prepare for EOC2024 so don’t miss out on it! We are working hard to create fine orienteering memories for everyone, and would love to see you in April!
