The official EOC 2024 selection race is scheduled to be held in Szárliget on 27th-28th July! The first bulletin has been released and can be read here.
The terrain of the race is the 385 metres high Zuppa-top and its surroundings, located in the Transdanubian Mountains. The near-surface rocks – primarily limestones and dolomite – in the area are sedimentary deposits from an ancient sea, which shape the terrain’s relief. The landscape is technically challenging, featuring steep, rocky slopes and flat plateaus in some areas, while a dense network of small ridges and valleys in others. The surface is covered with oak, planted pine forests, and karst scrub forests, interspersed with numerous clearings and groves. The runnability of the forestry cuttings varies.

Fun fact. In 1983 a none-official World Cup race took place here. You can see the map of this race at the last picture.
